“Tossed” But Not Forgotten: Sculpture Contest Turns Trash to Art

Kids in Benton County and Washington County 4H clubs did their part for planet earth by participating in the “Tossed” sculpture contest at the Benton County and Washington County Fairs. First, kids picked up litter in the community. Then they repurposed the trash by creating unique works of art from their finds. The contest allowed the kids to add paint, glue, wire, screws or nails. Fairgoers voted on the sculptures and crowd favorites each won a $50 Walmart gift card.
